On behalf of the Organizing Committee, and after the big success of NANOTEXNOLOGY 2013, it is our great pleasure to inform you about the NANOTEXNOLOGY 2014, which will take place at Thessaloniki, Greece, at 5-12 July 2014.
On 18 April 2013, the 2nd International Conference on Nanotechnology and Biomedical Engineering (ICNBME-2013) started. The event is organized by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Technical University of Moldova, University of Medicine and Pharmacy "Nicholae Testemitanu" and Biomedical Engineering Society in Moldova.
The 2nd International Conference on Nanotechnologies and Biomedical Engineering (ICNBME-2013) will be held in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova on 18-20 April 2013. The event is organised by the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Technical University of Moldova, State Medical and Pharmaceutical University “N.Testemitanu” from Moldova, Moldavian Society of Biomedical Engineering.
MOLD-ERA project released a brochure entitled "Nanotechnology Research Groups from Moldova". It contains profiles and points of contacts of 6 research groups active in the nanotechnology area, as well as an overview of the nanotechnologies area in Moldova, its recent achievements and results, as well as the role and contribution of the MOLD-ERA project. The brochure also provides insights into the interntional collaboration links relflected by joint publications in ISI journals and the dynamics of the research results in the nanotechnology area in Moldova.

Over the last four years the scientific activities in the field of nanotechnologies have been coordinated under the State Program on „Nanotechnologies and Nanomaterials”, the role of leading institution being attributed to the Institute of Electronic Engineering and Nanotechnologies „D. Ghiţu”. In the framework of this program there were realized 18 research projects, 11 of which were completed in 2010 and the other 7 projects - in December 2012.
On January 25, German Ambassador to Moldova, Matthias Meyer attended at the Technical University of Moldova the commissioning of a modern nanotechnology equipment, donated by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation from Germany.
The event was also attended by the First vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, acad. Ion Tighineanu and the vice-rector of the Technical University of Moldova, , assoc.prof. Dr. Valentin Amariei as well as young researchers.
Companies, R&D teams and individuals are invited, the feedback will be helpful to improve and refine the roadmap together with the European Commission.
The conference is dedicated to the anniversary of 10 years of nanotechnology development in the Republic of Moldova. The conference will take place in Balti, Republic of Moldova, at the State University "A.Russo", on October 22-23, 2012.
